Welcome to the Overseas Visit Proposal System (OVP)

All staff looking to travel outside of the UK must submit an online Overseas Visit Proposal form. All visits must be approved prior to travel, even if entirely funded by external sources. Failure to submit a proposal will result in a travel request being declined.

Remember, before your visit:

• Staff are encouraged to submit OVPs within good time (more than 14 days prior to travel) in order to keep costs down. If you still need to submit a proposal less than 14 days prior to travel, please contact ovp@leedsbeckett.ac.uk for guidance on submitting a ‘late’ proposal.
• Separate Travel Risk Assessments are no longer required as part of the OVP process.

After your visit:

• You must submit a post-visit report, unless the visit was teaching only
• You must submit an Overseas Travel Finance Form if you have any finances to claim. Submit this before your visit if you need a cash advance.

Travel Arrangements: Once your OVP is approved, you can make travel arrangements by contacting Key Travel (the university's travel management company) on leedsbeckett@keytravel.com or 0161 8199762. Please note that you must use Key Travel, in compliance with the university's financial procedures.
